Over the past month, the Ace Combat series Reddit has been holding a raffle contest in order to raise money for Wings of Hope, an aviation-based charity that helps the poor by delivering resources and medical assistance by flight, as well as health, education, and food security. Today, Wings of Hope revealed that $6,436 USD total was raised overall for the cause.

Prizes for the raffle were donated by various people, including Bandai Namco and Thrustmaster, with the biggest prizes being the Thrustmaster T-Flight headset, and a copy of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown signed personally by series director Kazutoki Kono.

After the results were revealed, Kono took to Twitter, saying that Ace Combat fans are awesome, and more. Here’s his Tweet translated below:

“What an amazing thing. I can’t even put it into words.

Saying “our fans are amazing” isn’t me being arrogant. They are just simply great people.

This sort of story is something unheard of even in this industry.”

Congratulations, Ace Combat community!

Ace Combat 7 is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
