2020 marks the Ace Combat series’ 25th anniversary, and Bandai Namco released a trailer showing off free skins for existing aircraft in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown to commemorate the occasion.
Check them out below:
Since Ace Combat 7‘s release in January 2019, it has released various pieces of DLC, including several extra missions, but mostly focused around bringing back fan favorite aircraft from previous games, such as the ADFX-01 Morgan from Ace Combat Zero. The skins that are being released for the 25th anniversary are based on Ace Combat 7‘s main story campaign and extra DLC NPCs, who show up as friendlies or enemies in them.
The skins being added to Ace Combat 7 include:
- Su-47 Berkut Rage skin
- Su-47 Berkut Scream skin
- Rafale M Alicorn skin
- MiG-29A Fulcrum Spare 8 (Champ) skin
- F/A-18F Super Hornet Spare 6 (Full Band) skin
- Mirage 2000-5 Spare 11 (Tabloid) skin
- Su-33 Flanker D Spare 2 (Count) skin
- F-15C Eagle Strider (Count) skin
- F-16C Fighting Falcon Mage 1 (Clown) skin
There are also various other Emblems you will be able to use.
In the description for the video, Bandai Namco Europe also confirms that support for Ace Combat 7 won’t end here. More DLC aircraft are on the way, although more info on the aircraft will only be revealed later down the pipeline.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
