Tales of Crestoria is Getting a Short Animation Titled ‘The Wake of Sin’

Today, Bandai Namco revealed Tales of Crestoria: The Wake of Sin, a promotional animated short that will depict the events of Tales of Crestoria‘s prologue, set to release at 6am PST on October 18, 2020. The animation will be released online via YouTube.

The animation of the short was done by Kamikaze Douga, a studio focusing on 3DCG animation. The studio is known for their work on animating the openings and endings of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures series, and they were also the studio behind Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth‘s opening and in-game cutscenes, another Bandai Namco game. Kohei Masaki, Yui Ishikawa, and Yuma Uchida reprise their roles as Kanata Hjuger, Misella, and Vicious respectively, and music is composed by Yasutaka Nakata.

The Tales of series has always been been closely with animated adaptations, such as with Tales of Symphonia the AnimationTales of the Abyss, and more. The most recent anime adaptation was Tales of Zestiria the X, based on both Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Berseria. Tales of Zestiria also had a short promotional short animation titled Dawn of the Shepherd.

Tales of Crestoria is immediately available for iOS and Android devices. Recently, waitress versions of Kohaku and Rita were added to the game.
