A New Tamashii Nations Dragon Ball Figure Is an Imagination Works Goku

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Tamashii Nations, one of Bandai’s figure collections, is starting a whole new branding. Soon joining lines like S.H.Figuarts, S.I.C., and S.H MonsterArts will be the IMagination Works project. And, to be fitting, the first figure in that line will add to the already impressive Tamashii Nations Dragon Ball collectible lineup. It’s another Goku!

Currently, the Tamashii Nations launch page for Imagination Works is only teasing details about this new figure project. People can see the logo for the line, which notes it will include 1:9 scale figures. They can also see a shadowy version of the Goku prototype. While camera tricks are being used to obscure clear looks at the character’s design, his elbow, neck, shoulder, and wrist joints are clearly visible. (It isn’t possible to tell if he will perhaps have face plates that can be swapped.)

Tamashii Nations is very well known for its Dragon Ball figures, with even a Dragon Ball Special page dedicated to the series. Some of them, like the S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegito or S.H.Figuarts Zamasu, are Premium Bandai USA exclusives. In May 2020, a S.H.Figuarts Jackie Chun will begin shipping.

In other Tamashii Nations news, a Monster Hunter S.H.MonsterArts Nargacuga figure is on the way. The latest prototype pictures showed off some of its points of articulation.

The Imagination Works Tamashii Nations Dragon Ball figure is currently in development.
