A Hyrule Edition New 3DS XL And Compact New 3DS Bundle Are Coming To North America

Nintendo announced they will release the smaller version of the New Nintendo 3DS in North America. The compact system has the same capabilities as the New Nintendo 3DS XL in a smaller size and has removable faceplates. The New Nintendo 3DS system will be sold in a bundle with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, two faceplates, and one amiibo card for $219.99 on September 25.

Nintendo plans on selling the amiibo scanning NFC Reader/Writer upgrade for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, and Nintendo 2DS system for $19.99. This will be available on September 25 too.

 

On October 30, Nintendo will release a Hyrule Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL system which will be sold exclusively at GameStop. This $199.99 system is gold-colored and has a Hylian Crest on the front. The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes comes out on the same day and will be sold separately.

 

Nintendo also announced three Wii Remote Plus controllers based on Bowser, Toad, and Yoshi. These will be sold at exclusively at GameStop for $39.99. Bowser will also be the face of the next Photos with Mario series of eShop cards. A $10 card from GameStop will include the Bowser AR card which can be used with the Photos with Mario app.
