Very few details are known about the mysterious girl Reina on her character page, other than the fact that she studied at the Mishima Polytechnical School. Although Reina has a Japanese name and speaks Japanese, the page lists her nationality as “Unknown.”

Bandai Namco has also published Reina’s gameplay reveal trailer. It shows that the new character will have special interactions with Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Although both characters do not recognize Reina, she does know them. She will even call Jin a “senpai” as he was her senior in the school.

The reveal of Reina completes the 32-character launch roster that Tekken 8 will have when the fighting game releases in late January 2024. Besides the ever-evolving Jack-8, the roster will feature three brand-new characters including Reina. The other two are the Peruvian coffee queen Azucena Milagros Ortiz Castillo and the French super spy Victor Chevalier.
