Here are Main Landmarks of the New OG Map in Fortnite:

While this map may be familiar to Fortnite veterans, even they may be rusty after half a decade returning to it after so long. It’s wise to know where you’re going ahead of a match. That way, you know where to meet allies and what to expect.

Tilted Towers

Perhaps the most iconic and infamous location in Fortnite is Tilted Towers. This dense collection of skyscrapers provides many opportunities for getting the high ground. As such, many skirmishes take place here. There are also many hiding spots and opportunities for ambushes. Land with caution if this will be the landing site.

Loot Lake

Despite what the name suggests, Loot Lake is a fairly empty area with a massive body of water. While there are numerous islands filled with goods, they are a fairly long swim away that will leave you vulnerable. Therefore, this lake serves as a divider on the map and obstacle.

Shifty Shafts

Shifty Shafts is a series of tunnels and mines in the southwest quadrant. As such, this is a good location to hide, as well as to corner other players if you find them here. There is also uneven terrain above if you are looking for high ground above these tunnels.

Paradise Palms

This is the desert for the map in the southeast. Here you will find a smaller version of the city found at Tilted Towers. Also, to the north you will find a racetrack where there will be an ample supply of vehicles you can use to traverse the map. Go here if you are looking for a wide open area. However, be cautious when the storm hits, as this area is further from the center.

Other Major Locations to Visit on the Fortnite OG Map:

While these spots may not be your first-pick spots to visit, they are worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

Wailing Woods and Lonely Lodge

The Wailing Woods and the Lonely Lodge collectively make up the forests in the northeast corner. These provide a wide open area to explore with plenty of cover and hiding spots. There are a number of lodges hidden within the trees for you to check and maybe find loot in and take shelter. Be careful when going here though, as others may have the same idea.

Pleasant Park

This is an average location to drop. It’s not as open as Fatal Fields, nor as dense as Tilted Towers. Each house serves as both an opportunity to find loot and a good hideaway. Players should go here when looking for an average area to hunker down, in terms of combat.

Fatal Fields

This is the landing site to aim for if you are looking for a simple battlefield. The farms of Fatal Fields provide many wide open spaces for large numbers of players to do battle on. This spot also includes barns full of supplies and fields of tall grass to hide in.

Dusty Divot

Lastly, Dusty Divot sits at the center of the map. It is a massive crater filled with woodlands. A laboratory complex stands at the center, making for a good cluster of player action if a lot of folks show up. The crater’s tall ledges also offer high ground for those above. At the north stands a group of warehouses full of supplies.

While there are many other locations across the maps, these are the main ones to look out for.

Fortnite is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and mobile devices.
