Socializing is the heart of My Time at Sandrock. The first time you talk to a townsperson every day results in an increase to their relationship level. This means that each day you don’t have a conversation with a character is a day lost.

Read and reply to mail

You’ll get mail almost every day in My Time at Sandrock. Some of it you will be able to actually reply to! I suggest replying as soon as you get the letter, as often these responses have a limited window to send.

Responding to mail is a good idea as it often results in receiving an extra item or two. Also, the author of the letter will typically get a little boost in their relationship score when you reply. Even letters you can’t reply to often have items, so it’s a good idea to check your mail every day in My Time at Sandrock. Not to mention the quests that arrive this way and may be time-limited.

Try and at get some water every day in My Time at Sandrock

Given the setting in My Time at Sandrock, water is a vital resource to get and manage. You’ll want to ensure every day that you’re at least getting a little water in your tank. This is especially crucial if you’re running multiple machines during your day-to-day tasks.

Finding dew or just buying water will suffice, just try to end every day with at least as much as you started with, ideally a little more. This ensure your workshop runs smoothly, as running out of water undeniably halts most of your work.

Check your passive machines like the Recycler and Drying Rack

My Time at Sandrock machines like the Recycler and the Drying rack can sort of just do what they need to do at all times. Since you’re constantly finding scrap, you should always have the recycler going and churning out resources. This can add up over time, almost like a passive stream of mid-tier resources.

With these tasks you can start doing every day in My Time at Sandrock, ideally the day-to-day will become a little more routine. Additionally, As new mechanics open up like farming, you’ll want to of course incorporate checking crops and livestock into that schedule.
