FFVII Rebirth Clips Show Off Chocobo Capture and Treasure Excavation

Square Enix shared new FFVII Rebirth clips showing off Chocobo capture and treasure excavation. With this addition in the upcoming PlayStation 5 title, players can capture wild Chocobo while exploring the map and then use them to explore, find treasure, and complete quests.

The video clip showing off Chocobo capture in FFVII Rebirth explains that in order to ride a Chocobo in the world, the player must capture it. Chocobo are skittish and run away if they are startled, so if the player can capture them, they will be able to help the player on their journey. When controlling Cloud, the player can hide him in tall grass and use large stones to distract the Chocobo. The clip of Chocobo capture is viewable below:

In the second video clip released by Square Enix, the process of using Chocobo to treasure hunt and excavate is shown. When a Chocobo finds the scent of a treasure, a “?” icon will appear above its head. By following the scent of the treasure, the player will be able to dig up valuable items. Recently, Square Enix showed off the quest board, Remnawave Towers, and Chadley from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Square Enix also announced the new English voice actor for Vincent Valentine in FFVII Rebirth at New York Comic Con 2023.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come out for the PS5 on February 29, 2024. The exclusivity deal with Sony ends on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is currently available to play on the PS4, PS5, and PC.
