The trailer confirms new story details about Silent Hill: Ascension. It will feature two families in different countries encountering the horrors of Silent Hill, with hints that these two events are connected. The Hernandez family in Pennsylvania are dealing with family turmoil following a death in their local community, while the Johansen family in Norway are dealing with the mysterious death of Ingrid, their matriarch. The trailer features scenes of the two families being stalked by monsters similar to those seen elsewhere in the Silent Hill series, along with plenty of foggy environments.

Silent Hill: Ascension will be an interactive series from Behaviour Interactive, GenVid, and Bad Robot Games. Following the game’s premiere, new scenes will appear in the app each day. Players will be able to vote on potential outcomes in the series, with their choices affecting the events of the story, and who survives the ordeal. The game will feature in-app purchases, although it’s not yet confirmed what form these will take.

Silent Hill: Ascension will premiere on mobile platforms on October 31, 2023. Pre-registration is open now.
