Starfield ‘Hostile Intelligence’ Guide

Starfield has some intense, action-packed quests in the game, but few compare to the “Hostile Intelligence” quest. The second-to-last quest in the UC Vanguard faction storyline, this one sees players near the end of their tale of taking down the Terrormorphs and saving the galaxy from utter extinction.

How to Complete “Hostile Intelligence” in Starfield

Note: Full spoilers ahead for this quest.

After you acquire the robot Kaiser to help out in the UC Vanguard’s fight against the Terrormorphs, the Starfield “Hostile Intelligence” mission begins. Things start when you learn from Hadrian about the two possible options to get rid of the Terrormorphs. After this conversation, head to the marked planet of Toliman II in the Toliman System and meet with Saira there at the abandoned city of Londinion.

There is an optional step before you leave, though! You can loot the UC base, which I recommend. You will need tons of ammo for this mission, and taking this extra time to look around will prepare you for that.

Once you get to Londinion, follow the linear path through the gate and into the city. You’ll immediately be met with Terrormorphs to take out. Keep following the path. You’ll head into the large arena-like industrial area next. Again, you’ll need to take out the tons of Terrormorphs here. I recommend boosting up to higher grounds, as they can’t reach you there, so you can fire on them from afar.

After clearing this area, head up to the marked containers and enter them to get the three gene samples. Everything is clearly marked in-game, and you can’t miss them.

Once you get the gene samples, you’ll need to head into the tunnels nearby. When you do, you’ll find out the shocking truth about the Terrormorphs. After that reveal, follow this basically linear path into the next area to a massive locked door. Head upstairs into the nearby office to power it up and listen to a recording.

There’s another optional part to this whole mission. You have a chance to tell Hadrian the truth about her father if you haven’t already here. Note that the information you do or don’t provide can affect the story, so consider it before you make any choices.

Open up the door and enter the spaceport. Once again, there is a massive fight against Terrormorphs here, but you should be an expert at taking them out by now. As long as you have enough ammo, you should be fine. After defeating them all, grab the final DNA sample.

Leave Londinion and head back to the Mars UC Vanguard base to talk with Hadrian and complete this mission.
