How to Get Spooky Treats in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

A Hello Kitty Island Adventure event currency is being given out as part of the Spooky Celebration Halloween event added in update 1.2. However, it might be a bit difficult to find these items to trade in for costumes and items. Which may be a bit harrowing, since the new visitor Baku won’t show up unless you furnish a guest cabin with items collected during this event. The game actually did explain how to get Spooky Treats in Hello Kitty Island Adventure once it began, but it was such a fleeting mention that it’s easy to forget. So, here’s how to stock up so you can get items.

Go through your Daily Quests to get Spooky Treats in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Just like the Summer’s End Celebration event, your Daily Quests will now award the event currency. You will get one Spooky Treat as a bonus reward whenever you complete a quest. These are typically incredibly simple, such as changing your clothes at a mirror, giving someone a gift, or taking an in-game photo of someone.

Go trick or treating in a costume at night to get Spooky Treats

Unlike the end of summer event, where you could find tubes of sunscreen around the Resort Plaza beach, you can’t just see Spooky Treats lying around. The other way to get them is to actually go trick or treating at night in-game. However, you also need a costume for that. While you could buy costume parts from the stand near the Resort Plaza fast travel mailbox, it is easier to use the Witch Hat and Dress

You get the Witch Hat and Witch Dress from the Spooky Swamp during the “Re-Haunt the Spooky Swamp” main campaign mission. It’s part of the whole “getting the Power Crystals” thing. After the fact, you really don’t have much practical use for it, beyond it being a fun costume option. However, if you wear it during the night during the Spooky Celebration Halloween event in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you get Spooky Treats when you approach five Sanrio characters to trick or treat. You can do this once per day. When you do, you get one treat from each person.

To make night fall in the game, go to a cabin with a bed. Choose to sleep in it, then say you want to wake up when it is night. You’ll then wake up at the perfect time to trick or treat.

How many Spooky Treats can you get per day?

Well, it’s a small number! If you use both of these options, you will earn 9 Spooky Treats per day. Four of them will come from the Daily Quests you perform. The other five come from trick or treating.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available on Apple Arcade for iOS devices and Macs.
