Akila City is one of the most important locations in Starfield, as it is home to the Freestar Rangers and Sam Coe. However, you will need to find the right star system first if you want to visit the Western-themed town. Here is where to find the Starfield Akila City location.

Where is Akila City in Starfield?

Akila City is located in the Cheyenne Star System in Starfield and is a part of the Freestar Collective. Although it features many mid-game story missions, you can technically visit the Western-style city as soon as you have full access to your ship in New Atlantis. From Alpha Centauri, take your cursor on the star system menu and select Cheyenne, which is located northeast on the galaxy map.

Notable Quests in Akila City

If you are playing through the main story campaign in order, you will first learn about Akila City after completing The Old Neighborhood Constellation quest with Starfield companion Sarah Morgan. Once you return to the lodge, you will meet Sam Coe and his daughter, Cora Coe. The cowboy Constellation member will then give you The Empty Nest quest, which sends you to Akila City.

  • Defensive Measures (Side quest unlocked after listening to Davis Wilson’s argument while walking around Akila City)
  • False Positives (Side quest unlocked after completing Defensive Measures and speaking to Keoni Alpin. Trigger after waiting 24 hours).
  • The Great Laredo Caper (Side quest unlocked after speaking to Annie Wilcox outside of the Laredo Arms store).
  • Rough Landings (Side quest unlocked after speaking to Marko Jansen in The Stretch near the Low House).
  • Last Will and Testament (Side quest unlocked after speaking to Mayor Cartwright in his manor next to The Rock).

Akila City is one of the biggest settlements in Starfield and features many shops and key locations. The Western-themed town has the usual establishments such as GalBank and the appearance customization store Enhance. There are also a handful of important Akila locations that you can visit to obtain quests.

  • The Rock (Freestar Ranger headquarters and location of the Deputize Faction quest).
  • Stoneroot Inn (Akila Motel, where you can rent a room and purchase food).
  • Sinclair’s Books (Loot the Gunslinger’s Guide 02 Skill Magazine location).
  • Cartwright Manor (Home of Mayor Cartwright and location of the Last Will and Testament quest).
  • Honest Earl’s Alien Extravaganza (A hilarious museum where you can look at aliens for a few coins).
  • Sanctum Universum (location of the Universum chest if you picked the Raised Universal Starfield trait).
  • Coe Estate (Key location you need to visit during the Constellation quest The Empty Nest)
