Kotobukiya’s Frame Arms and Frame Arms Girl made multiple appearances in the original Phantasy Star Online 2, and now they are also set to appear in PSO2: New Genesis. In the late September 2023 NGS Headline program, Sega announced that it will release the new Frame Arms content in November 2023.
The new collaboration will add both the Frame Arms and Frame Arms Girl versions of the NSG-X2 Hresvelgr=Ater. While the mechanical CAST parts are set to be the main highlight, the upcoming Scratch Ticket will also include full-body suits, avatar accessories, weapon camos, gesture emotes, and Creative Space build parts.
Sega previously added Frame Arms content to the original PSO2 twice in 2017 and 2018 in Japan. The same content also appeared on the Global server in December 2020. While the original PSO2 avatar parts are still available in New Genesis, they are not compatible with the newer character models. Sega will produce the Hresvelgr=Ater sets with the new standard so that players can combine them with other New Genesis CAST parts.
Frame Arms will also become New Genesis‘ first mecha-themed collaboration title. Sega previously released crossover content from Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, Uncle from Another World, and Oshi no Ko. Content from the 2022 Netflix version of Spriggan will appear next on October 18, 2023.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available worldwide on PC and PlayStation 4. The online game also has a Nintendo Switch cloud version in Japan and an Xbox One release elsewhere globally. The new Frame Arms collaboration content will appear in November 2023.
