Huohuo Teased as a New Honkai: Star Rail Character for 1.5

Ahead of the 1.4 Special Program, HoYoVerse teased a the debut of new Honkai: Star Rail character Huohuo. She should be appearing after the 1.5 update. We also know some other details about this five-star unit, such as that she’ll have two English voice actors due to her nature as a “cursed one” who deals with ghosts.

Huohuo is an Abundance character, which means she’ll be a healer and supporter, and she’ll use Wind attacks in Honkai: Star Rail. She’s a Foxian from Xianzhou Luofu, just like Tingyun and Yukong. She is currently on the way to becoming a Ten-Lords Commission Judge. She’s also technically two characters as one, as a spirit accompanies her. 

She’s voiced by Courtney Lin. Lin previously played Lan Fan in Fullmetal Alchemist, Empress in Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall, and Tarte in The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World. Meanwhile, the spirit attached to her is voiced by Adam Michael Gold. Golf played Fuya in NEO The World Ends with You.

We do already know who the 1.4 new Honkai: Star Rail characters will be due to similar teasing. Both Jingliu and Topaz will appear in this update and are five-star units. Jingliu appeared in the story ahead of her playable debut. However, Topaz is entirely new and we got a first look at her at the 2023 Tokyo Game Show. The current newest five-star character is Fu Xuan, who is joined by the four-star Lynx.

Honkai: Star Rail is available on the PC and mobile devices, with the PC version launching alongside 1.4 on October 11, 2023. The Special Program will air at 4:30am PT/7:30am ET on September 29, 2023.
