How to Invite Koji to Move in During Mineko’s Night Market

After you get the night market to level four in Mineko’s Night Market, you can meet people in different areas and convince them to move to town. When they do, they’ll not only be a villager, but set up shop at the market. While Koji isn’t difficult to invite in Mineko’s Night Market, getting him to move in does involve memorizing things he’ll tell you about his dad and himself.

What answers should you give Tak at the Dock to make Koji move in Mineko’s Night Market

First, you’ll find Koji at the Dark Forest in Mineko’s Night Market. He’ll be fishing at the lake in the center of the map, right next to the fishing spot. Regardless of what responses you give, he’ll tell you his story. He wants to open up a fishing stall at the night market, where you pay $50 per chance to perhaps catch a rare fish. However, he’s worried about his dad and wants his approval to move to the village and open a shop.

During the speech he gives you, there are five pieces of information you need to take note of. Head to The Docks and talk to Tak the TakoMan. There’ll be a new dialogue option where you can talk about Koji. Tell him the following things in this order.

  • “He said he works at Muffy’s Fish Shack.”
  • “That was Ume Village, right?”
  • “He said he’s been here for 4 years.”
  • “Even through The Great Dog Infestation!”
  • “Koji’s Fish Shack sounds great!

Koji will come up, and the father and son will talk. When you head to the bus stop to leave, you’ll run into him again. He’ll give you the Sewing Craftbench Raccoon Bedroll recipe, the Art Craftbench Family Portrait recipe, and a Boximal Blind Box. He’ll also set up a tent in town, waiting for 25 wood and 25 paper to build a house, and will be at the next night market with his fishing booth.

Mineko’s Night Market is available on the Nintendo Switch and PC. It will be on the PS4, PS5, and Xbox One on October 26, 2023.
