How to Make Box Flowers in Mineko’s Night Market

Part of living your life in Mineko’s Night Market means taking quests from Mineko’s dad to improve the house. As you go through, he’ll ask for certain items to spruce things up. While you might get his request for Box Flowers fairly early in Mineko’s Night Market, it takes a while to get this Flower Craftbench recipe.

So this recipe is tied to getting the market in town to level 4. When you do, you get the option to help people move in. One of these folks is Sugihara. You first need to complete the sidequest tied to getting that character to move in, which takes at least six days since you need to visit the Caves, then the Birch Forest, Dark Forest, Docks, and Village Gardens, before heading back to the Caves again.

Once Sugihara moves in, you need to help the new villager build a house. This means providing 25 wood you got from the Dark Forest and 25 papers from the Birch Forest. You get the Beehive Terrarium Flower Craftbench recipe for the wood and the Box Flowers recipe for the papers.

How to build Box Flowers in Mineko’s Night Market

If it isn’t spring in-game, then I hope you saved some Plum and Sakura flowers from that season. You need four Plum flowers, four Sakura flowers, and five pieces of wood to make the box flowers. Once you do, give the item to your dad. You’ll trigger a cutscene that shows the house being improved with the new item.

Unfortunately, unlike the other home improvement involving paper from the Birch Forest, making Box Flowers for the house in Mineko’s Night Market won’t increase your stamina. It will just net you the Nikko Temple Flowers recipe for the Flower Craftbench.

Mineko’s Night Market is available on the Nintendo Switch and PC. It will be on the PS4, PS5, and Xbox One on October 26, 2023.
