Anybody with save data from the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be able to unlock the Leviathan DLC summon. For players who played Episode INTERmission in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, they will be able to unlock the Ramuh DLC summon. The save data must be stored locally on the PlayStation 5 for these FFVII Rebirth summons to be unlocked.

In order to unlock these bonus summons, players must select “Save Data Bonus” on the main title screen of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This will allow players to unlock the bonuses. Even after they have been unlocked, the summons will still need to be obtained from a certain location from within the game. Square Enix has not yet provided details on the exact location where the summons can be obtained within FFVII Rebirth.

At the September 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Square Enix confirmed the release date for FFVII Rebirth and showed off a new gameplay and story trailer. The trailer highlighted iconic locations like Junon and the Gold Saucer, and revealed new mini-games for players to experience in the Gold Saucer.

FFVII Rebirth will be at Tokyo Game Show 2023 with a demo and stage presentation for attendees to experience.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releases exclusively on the PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. The exclusivity phase ends after May 29, 2024.
