To evolve Gligar into Gliscor in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need a Razor Fang. The Pokemon won’t evolve using any other method, so unless you have another player to trade with, you must find the evolution item. Here’s how to get a Razor Fang.
How do I get a Razor Fang in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
There are two ways of obtaining a Razor Fang in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and both require you to own The Teal Mask DLC. If you don’t have it, the only way for you to get one is to trade for a Pokemon that’s holding one, but at that point, you may as well trade for a Gliscor.
The first way of getting your hands on a Razor Fang in The Teal Mask is to see 110 Pokemon in the Kitakami Pokedex. Once you’ve done so, you’ll be able to claim the evolution item as a reward from your Pokedex.
Alternatively, there’s a Razor Fang hiding on the Kitakami map. To find it, head to Wistful Fields. In the northwest section, you’ll see a cave on the side of a grassy hill. Enter, where you’ll spot a red Poke Ball glowing on the ground. Pick it up to get the Razor Fang. You can see the exact location in the map screenshots I’ve provided below:
How do I evolve Gligar into Gliscor?
Once you have a Razor Fang in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can now evolve Gligar into Gliscor. To do so, give your Gligar the Razor Fang to hold and then level it up at night. The evolution will automatically trigger. There’s no way to force your game to turn to night, so if it’s still daytime for you, you’ve got no choice but to wait it out, which can take up to 30 minutes.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and The Teal Mask DLC are available now on Nintendo Switch.
