The Starfield “Guilty Parties” Ryujin Industries faction quest tasks players with finding out the truth behind Imogene’s alleged betrayal. In the midst of this, you find out that Imogene is not the mole and it is, in fact, Ularu. Should you pick Ularu or Masako to side with in Starfield?
Should You Side With Ularu or Masako in the Starfield “Guilty Parties” Quest?
You have a tough decision to make in the “Guilty Parties” Starfield quest. After finding out Imogene is being framed by Ularu, you can confront her before completing this quest. If you do so and persuade her well enough, you can get her to confess to you that she’s the true traitor in the corporation.
At this point, you have two options. You side with Ularu and help her usurp the current CEO or side with the current leader of the company, Masako. If you are a particularly bad player and like to do evil things, your clear answer here is to side with Ularu.
But, honestly, I am not a huge fan of Ularu. Her motivations are quite weak, and even her villainous acts leave something to be desired. On the other hand, Masako is quite the smart and somewhat benevolent (but not really) leader of Ryujin Industries.
She at least knows how to get the job done and in a secure manner, unlike Ularu. That is why I sided with Masako and told Ularu just that in Starfield. But if you prefer Ularu’s personality or her radical ideas for the future of the company, you should side with her.
No matter what your decision is, you not only have to tell Ularu who you’ll side, with but you’ll need to complete the mission by letting the security executive Dalton know who you’re picking. This will affect the last few Ryujin Industries quests you have.
Starfield is available for the Xbox Series X/S and PC.
