How to Unlock The Minstrel’s Ballad: Nidhogg’s Rage in FFXIV: Heavensward

In order to unlock Nidhogg Extreme, certain prerequisites must be met. First. a person must have completed the “Litany of Peace” quest and completed The Final Steps of Faith. This is part of the Main Scenario Quest, so you will obtain it by simply running through the Heavensward expansion. After that, you can then pick up the quest “Nidhogg’s Rage” at The Rising Stones in Mor Dhona (X:21, Y:8). Speak to The Wandering Minstrel to unlock the fight.

Much like previous Heavensward Extreme fights, completing this will grant you unique weapons and the chance at a special mount. You might get a Dark Lanner Whistle. This fight can also be done unsyc’d, which makes it something of a breeze. For example, certain Job Classes can actually solo or duo Nidhogg Extreme with relative eas.
