How to Unlock Containment Bay Z1T9 (Extreme) in FFXIV

Much like previous Extreme Trials in FFXIV, once you unlock Containment Bay Z1T9 (Extreme) you’ll be able to tackle a harder version of a standard Trial. Zurvan Extreme rounds out the Warring Triad series of Trials, with his Extreme version dropping unique weapons and a special mount. Here’s how to unlock the level 60 raid.

In order to unlock Sophia Extreme, players will need to have first completed “When the Boughs Wake,” defeated Sephirot, and also completed “The Fate of Stars” and beaten Sophia. If you haven’t unlocked the Sephiroth Trial, it isn’t too difficult to find and maneuver. And if you haven’t unlocked Sophia yet, you can read on how to do that we covered that as well.

If you’ve done all of the above, head to The Rising Stones in Mor Dhona (X:6.1, Y:5.2) and pick up the quest “A Demonic Duplicate.” Following this questline will allow you to unlock this Extreme Trial at Azys Lla (X:25.4, Y:22.5, Z:8.4). Defeating Zurvan will allow you to obtain Zurvan-themed weapons, with the chance that the unique mount’s Demonic Lanner Whistle will drop as well. However, this is entirely random, so you may need to run it again. Like previous Extreme Trials released with Heavensward, you can tackle this fight unsync’d.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is part of the game’s free trial, and immediately available to download.
