How to Unlock The Limitless Blue (Extreme) in FFXIV

Final Fantasy XIV boasts more than a handful of challenging Trials. The Limitless Blue (Extreme) is one such Trial you can unlock in FFXIV. This level 60 Trial first appeared in the Heavensward expansion. While it may be far easier than it was when it released, there are some benefits to running it.

Much like Thok ast Thock (Extreme), The Limitless Blue (Extreme) will require you to complete the side quest “The Gods of Eld” to access the Trial. This side quest is part of the Warring Triad storyline, which will see you fight the likes of Sephirot and Sophia. However, you do not need to fight either in order to access The Limitless Blue (Extreme) at The Sea of Clouds (X:29.8, Y:27.5, Z:3.7).

In The Limitless Blue (Extreme) you will face off against a harder version of Bismark. While the encounter is effectively the same, you will need to burn down this boss on a much tighter time limit, with much less generous mechanics.

Upon completing The Limitless Blue (Extreme) you will rewarded with a coffer that contains a unique weapon, with a special mount being part of the drop pool. However, the White Lanner Whistle isn’t guaranteed. Like Thok ast Thock (Extreme), this Trial can be done unsync’d.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
