• Press and hold R1 and move your Right Analog Stick up.
• You will access the Rewards screen. Click R1 multiple times until you get to the Rewards sub-menu.
• Using your Left Analog Stick, select the Exchange tab.
• Enter your gift code and then confirm.

If I’m being extra descriptive, it is because the use D-Pad and the Left Analog Stick are not interchangeable. If you try to do so, then you will end up changing the screen or even resetting your gift code input.
