Square Enix announced the FFVII Ever Crisis release date, and we’ll be playing it on mobile devices at the beginning of September. It took to Twitter for the reveal. At the same time, it also noted that pre-registrations for the RPG are still open. It also announced an additional reward for everyone who starts playing the game in the form of a five-star weapon for FFVII The First Soldier character Glenn. This follows the release of an array of new screenshots and trailers.
As a reminder, FFVII Ever Crisis will retell various stories from games in the series. During the initial closed beta and early on, we’ll see the prequels The First Soldier and Crisis Core. The original game’s story will also be retold. This will also eventually provide an avenue for other possible storylines. For example, this could mark the worldwide debut of Before Crisis, which followed the Turks and cast them as the heroes.
As for the Glenn weapon, it is a five-star one being given away at launch. Square Enix didn’t note how long people will be able to claim it following the FFVII Ever Crisis release date. But it will give a scythe called Apology in Hell.
