PSO2 Will Get an Oshi no Ko Event in September 2023

In a livestream, Sega announced that there will be an Oshi no Ko collaboration event in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (PSO2). It will take place sometime in September 2023. During the event, we’ll be able to get limited items and avatars based on the three main characters of the show and manga. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

During the livestream, most of the information focused on content that will come out in August 2023. Though there weren’t a lot of details about the Oshi no Ko event in Phantasy Star Online 2, we do know what players can expect. First off, you’ll be able to get avatars of Ai, Ruby, and Aqua. Sega will also release exclusive Oshi no Ko lobby actions, build parts, stamps, portable holograms, and more. Sega will release more details about this collaboration event in August 2023 during its next livestream.

Other upcoming updates to expect in Phantasy Star Online 2 include the Uncle From Another World collaboration. It will start from August 9, 2023, and you’ll be able to unlock avatars of characters like Ojisan, Elf, and Mabel. Before that, in the August 2, 2023 update, Chapter 6.2 of the main story will be added into the game, along with some new quests. The final updates, which will be on August 23 and 30, 2023, will add the limited event, “Heat Haze Battle.”

Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is available on the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The Oshi no Ko event will run in PSO2 some time in September 2023. You can watch Oshi no Ko via services such as HIDIVE.
