Rearranged Star Ocean The Second Story R Soundtrack Includes New Songs

Square Enix offered another update on what people can expect from the return of Star Ocean: The Second Story. This time, it has to do with the music. It confirmed the Star Ocean The Second Story R soundtrack will include some new songs. However, they will be from Composer Motoi Sakuraba again.

Here’s the official announcement, which confirmed the soundtrack will be rearranged with new and remixed songs. It also featured photos of Sakuraba at work on the game.

Motoi Sakuraba acted as a composer for the Star Ocean series since the original Super Famicom game. He’s also worked on spin-offs like Star Ocean: Blue Sphere and Anamnesis. Prior to returning for the Star Ocean The Second Story R soundtrack, he worked on The Divine Force new entry.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R will come to the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC on November 2, 2023. The game can also immediately be found on the PlayStation and PSP worldwide and the PS3, PS4, and Vita in Japan.
