Final Fantasy XIV features a ton of clothing options for players to pick from when customizing their avatar. But one of the best options for making your armor and clothing feel unique is to use dye. One of the most popular dyes is the Rust Red Dye in FFXIV, which is surprisingly easy to get.

There are, technically, two ways you could go about getting yourself some Rust Red Dye in FFXIV. The first is to simply head to the nearest Market Board and buy some there from other players. However, the problem with this method is that you are actually wasting your money.

In general, you could spend several hundreds, if not thousands, more Gil going this route than the other possible method. Your other option, which you should do instead, is head to one of the NPC traders who sell this Rust Red Dye. That’s right, you can buy this dye directly from various NPC traders.

And the best part is that it will only ever cost you a mere 216 Gil this way for each one. That is not a lot of Gil whatsoever, so it is easy to stock up on as many of these dyes as you need for your gear this way.
