A huge part of Final Fantasy XIV involves customizing your Glamours. Many players spend a lot of time and Gil on their appearance. Using Salmon Pink Dye is just one way to change up your look in FFXIV—here’s how.
How do I get Salmon Pink Dye in FFXIV?
While your first instinct may be to purchase Salmon Pink Dye from another player on the FFXIV Market Board, I’d recommend against it. Not only is the Market Board often overpriced, but Salmon Pink Dye is really easy to obtain. So, save your Gil, because it’s worth taking a little bit of extra time to hunt it down.
The following vendors sell Salmon Pink Dye for 40 Gil apiece:
- Nanabe: Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (x14.2, y11.0).
- Unsynrael: Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (x6.0, y12.3).
- Alaric: Old Gridania (x14.3, y8.8).
- Frine: The Pillars (x6.0, y9.9).
- Eilonwy: The Firmament (x12.2, y14.2).
- Tokohana: Kugane (x12.9, y12.2).
You can also get Salmon Pink Dye as a reward for completing these quests:
- Honoring the Dead: level 18 sidequest.
- Highbridge Times: level 24 Main Story Quest.
Got it! Now, how do I use the Dye?
Now that you’ve got some Salmon Pink Dye in FFXIV, it’s time to dye your gear. Open your Armoury Chest or Character menu, right-click (PC), or press the Square button (PS4 and PS5) on the item you wish to dye, and select ‘Dye’ to bring up the Dye menu. Then choose the Salmon Pink Dye and apply it to your gear.
If you haven’t unlocked the ability to dye your stuff yet, you need to complete the level 15 ‘Color Your World’ side quest by speaking to Swyrgeim at Vesper Bay in Western Thanalan (x12.5, y14.2).
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. A paid subscription is required. If you need Aldgoat Brown Dye, here’s how to find it.
