Star Ocean: The Second Story R Ashton, Celine, and Dias Art Shared

First, here’s how Ashton will look in Star Ocean: The Second Story R, based on Square Enix’s initial tweet. Due to an incident not long after Claude and Rena meet him, a two-headed dragon he was fighting ends up fused onto him. The dragons were called Creepy and Weepy in the original game, though its unknown if that could change in the updated one. )

Celine is a symbologist in Star Ocean: The Second Story R. (This means she’s a mage.) Like Ashton, she’s one of the first allies Rena and Claude will meet. She’s a treasure hunter, and aiding her can result in her joining permanently.

Finally, Dias and his little sister Cecille were Rena’s childhood friends in Star Ocean: The Second Story R. He’s determined to become the best swordsman possible, following a past tragedy.

Ahead of these three profiles and examples of Star Ocean: The Second Story R character portraits and sprites, we saw Claude and Rena again. Square Enix shared brief trailers highlighting both of them. These showed off the English voice acting, them interacting with other characters, and some in-battle gameplay footage.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R will come to the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC on November 2, 2023
