Q: What are your future plans for expanding the Monster Hunter, Toraware no Paruma, Sengoku Basara and Onimusha series?

A: We are carrying out discussions regarding the future expansion of these titles so they can be enjoyed by a wide audience

The last mainline installment of the Sengoku Basara series was Sengoku Basara 4 in 2014, followed by the Sumeragi expansion a year later and a spin-off focusing on Sanada Yukimura in 2016. The series inspired several anime adaptations such as Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings, which consisted of 2 seasons and a movie, and Basara Gakuen, which features series characters in a high school setting. However, Series Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi left Capcom for Netease back in 2022.

Capcom released a remaster of the first Onimusha game in 2018, but the last mainline series entry was Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams way back in 2006. As well as four mainline entries, the series also includes a tactical RPG and a browser-based spin-off. An anime adaptation directed by Takashi Miike is also in the works.

The Onimusha: Warlords remaster is available immediately on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Ps4 and PC.
