How Clive Rosfield’s age changes in Final Fantasy XVI

The most intriguing part about Final Fantasy XVI’s storyline is that it takes place throughout much of Clive’s life. Instead of focusing on a single portion of a person’s story, like in previous games, this one hones in on the hero for much of his life.

There are going to be some light story spoilers ahead.

The crux of Final Fantasy XVI features Clive at three distinct points in his life. At the very start of the game, the main character is around 15 years old. This is during the prologue of the game when you’re introduced to his family, world, and the other characters around him. After only a few hours of gameplay, there is a major time skip.

At this point in the game, you switch over to the character 13 years into the future when he is around 28 years old. This is where a significant portion of the game takes place, but it isn’t even the end of his story. There is yet another time skip at a major turning point in the plot.

Here, you get to see Clive five years into the future at the age of 33 years old. This is where a massive part of the plot happens and there is a ton for players to do. As you can see, there is not a single answer to this question, as the main character of Final Fantasy XVI is 15, 28, and 33 years old in the events of this game.

Final Fantasy XVI is available on PlayStation 5.
