The art was posted to Twitter and can be seen below.

More of Takahashi’s work will be featured in the Final Fantasy XVI postcard and art books, which will release in July and August 2023 in Japan. They will also come to North America, with the art book and poster book arriving on March 12, 2024.

The new Final Fantasy XVI art was also been accompanied by other launch celebrations from Square Enix and PlayStation. A special message from Producer Naoki Yoshida was also posted to Twitter. In it, he expressed hope that the game will become a fan favorite title.

There are also more elaborate celebrations to celebrate the launch. The Japanese PlayStation Twitter account shared a short video featuring two cats wearing Ifrit and Phoenix accessories, recreating the fight between the two Eikons in the game. In the UK, Square Enix managed to get Clive’s sword displayed in the Tower of London.

Final Fantasy XVI is out now exclusively for the PS5. A demo of the game is also available for those wishing to try it out first.
