An official trailer for Fate/Samurai Remnant revealed that the release date for the game will be September 28, 2023. The trailer is no longer available on YouTube. It seems that the video appeared on social media and streaming services ahead of its official release. [Thanks, Wario64!]
Some early screenshots from the trailer show the playable character, who looks like a samurai with short black hair. The setting will be ancient Japan, and it looks like it will take place in the Edo era when Musashi was alive. There are new shots of the protagonist and his Saber Servant in the video, as well as of Musashi. There is also a new character, who has messy blue-green hair.
Aside from knowing that the genre of the game is an action-RPG, there’s not much information about what Fate/Samurai Remnant will entail. We also know that the story will focus on a new Holy Grail War, the Waxing Moon Ritual. It appears that Musashi will appear as a Berserker in Fate/Samurai Remnant, based on a figure that appeared in the now-private trailer. This might date the game at another period from the Edo era, since Musashi might not have the fame she’d need to manifest as a Servant under normal rules.
The Fate/Samurai Remnant release date is apparently September 28, 2023. It will appear on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.
