Armored Core VI Gameplay Footage Appears

Various outlets are sharing a first look at Armored Core VI gameplay following previous sessions around Summer Game Fest 2023. These are noted to be hands-off previews, with the different footage being accompanied by people who also watched the presentation and comment on what they heard. Previously, the trailers Bandai Namco and FromSoftware shared focused on cinematic segments.

First, here’s the Famitsu Armored Core VI gameplay footage. It features no voice-over and commentary and only focuses on the actual segments shown. The video shows someone in a mech exploring environments and dealing with enemies. At the 2:30 mark, the Assembly menu comes up. This lets us see what it’s like to modify a unit in-game. The L-Arm Unit, R-Back Unit, Arms, Legs, and Generator sections, as well as a more zoomed out screen that shows all 12 areas in the Unit, Frame, Inner, and Expansion sections. The portion after that also shows how the unit’s appearance changes in-game based on decisions.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on August 25, 2023. There will be standard, collector’s, and premium editions of the game available, with more expensive ones including a figure.
