Once you get to a certain point in Final Fantasy XVI, the sidequests like “Cut from the Cloth” can get more involved and ask you to make a selection at the end. This can usually influence a minor thing later on or an aspect the quest itself. So while “Cut from the Cloth” is fairly straightforward, keep in mind that it could lead to a brief appearance change.
How to finish “Cut from the Cloth” in Final Fantasy XVI
When going through “After the Storm,” you’ll find someone at the hideaway needs some cloth she ordered. However, it won’t be delivered. Someone has to pick it up. That someone is Clive.
I said this was straightforward, and it really is. First, you need to head to Northreach at The Holy Empire of Sanbreque. The draper at the markets should have the goods. You’ll find her here in the screenshot I took below..
The problem is the Boklad merchant hasn’t shown up yet. You need to go a bit down the road to Glorieuse to find him and his cart. He’s right here:
Again, there’s another hiccup. Someone is trying to rob him. Beat Killer, who is at level 26. It’s a simple fight, though he has a strong guard and a lot of HP. You’ll get 35 EXP, 60 AP, 260 gil, 10 Steelsilk, and 1 Black Blood for beating that baddie.
Take that back to the draper in Northreach. You’ll get a Bundle of Cloth. Bring that back to the hideaway. You’ll then be asked if you’d prefer black embroidered cloth, white continental silk, or lush red velvet. This will influence the appearance of something later. You’ll also get 50 Steelsilk, 350 EXP, 500 AP, 800 gil, and 15 renown.
Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
