There’s a new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet patch, and this one is designed to fix private tournaments. Apparently, the official ones weren’t working as they should. Updating to 1.3.1 fixes the issue.
The official Nintendo support page doesn’t offer more detailed patch notes yet. At the moment, the only “patch notes” for the 1.3.1 update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet addressing private tournaments are in the official tweet.

The announcement doesn’t mention anything about Pokemon HOME support for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Initially, an announcement said it would be available this week. However, shortly after they walked back the initial release date for compatibility.
It also doesn’t bring up a fix for another major Pokemon Scarlet and Violet issue. Right when the Chesnaught, Great Tusk, and Iron Treads Tera Raids were about to begin, a major flaw appeared. People who participated wouldn’t get a reward tied to them, and the game would crash as a result. That issue is also supposed to be repaired sometime in the near future.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available for the Nintendo Switch, and patch 1.3.1 is live now.
