Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gameplay Revealed, Kraven the Hunter Shown

At the PlayStation Showcase on May 24, 2023, a new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 appeared. In it, we get to see the iconic Kraven the Hunter as he sets on to start a new hunt in the streets of New York. The trailer also presents new gameplay. It showed Spider-Man’s new symbiotic black suit with a series of new abilities and Miles’ new hovering skill. It ended with a peek at The Lizard.

The story will apparently start with Kraven going to New York in order to hunt Connors as his next prey. After showing him, it looked at Peter Parker’s more violent and serious personality likely due to the black suit. As for Miles Morales, he is joined by his friend Ganke through a drone-like machine that can join the battle with some accessories.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature a single-player campaign following the story of Peter and Miles. In it, the two will face the new menace brought by Kraven and The Lizard’s battle while Peter suffers the changes brought by the black symbiote, which created Venom in the comics. About the gameplay, players will apparently alternate between both spider-men by story-triggered segments.

Previously, a Sony financial report confirmed the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was planned for the 2023 fiscal year. Moreover, Sony launched a Free Comic Book Day prequel showing what Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, and Miles Morales were up to ahead of the new installment. In addition, the comic also presented a new enemy in the game’s universe: The Hood.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will come to the PlayStation 5.
