The latest Pokemon GO spring event means people can now catch Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Cutiefly and evolve it into Ribombee in the game. It’s a permanent addition, which means you can find it basically forever now that it’s available. However, it will only be more easily and frequently seen in-game until April 10, 2023. Fortunately, it isn’t too difficult to happen upon one. However, as its new, it isn’t available in its shiny form yet.
Cutiefly is a somewhat uncommon spawn in the wild in Pokemon GO, which means you’ll likely see Buneary and Bunnelby more often. (I only saw two all day, and that involved taking a walk.) But they aren’t the most rare and I saw it more frequently than I did the flower crown Chansey or Togetic. You also have a chance of hatching a 2km egg with Cutiefly in it if you acquire the egg before April 10, 2023.
The more sure-fire way to catch a Cutiefly in Pokemon GO right now is to participate in Raid. It is showing up in one-star Raids until April 10, 2023. The one I saw ended up only being about 3000 power. As a bug and fairy type, a Pokemon with fire, flying, poison, rock, or steel type moves will take it right out.
As for how to evolve it into Ribombee in Pokemon GO, that isn’t too difficult either. You only need 50 Cutiefly candies. There are no other special conditions. If you have enough Pinaps on hand, you’ll only need to catch eight Cutiefly to get enough candies for the evolution.
Pokemon GO is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. Its Remote Raid Pass price will increase on April 6, 2023.
