Bandai Namco announced a release date for Sword Art Online Last Recollection. The game was originally announced at the Sword Art Online 10th anniversary event in November 2022 with a placeholder date of 2023. Now it has the more definitive launch date of October 6, 2023. It will release for PC and consoles worldwide.
Sword Art Online Last Recollection is an action-RPG adaption of the Sword Art Online anime’s War of Underworld arc. While it will follow the events of the anime, it will also bring in elements unique to the game timeline. This includes original characters such as Dorothy, who plays a prominent role in the story. The game promises to have the largest playable roster of the series to date.
Bandai Namco’s new trailer for Sword Art Online Last Recollection focuses largely on animated scenes from the game, so it’s likely that it may contain spoilers for those not yet caught up on the shows. The trailer can be seen below.
Don't let the nostalgia of past battles hold you back from new adventures. It's time to show the Underworld what you're made of.
