Like other installments in the series, Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side 4th Heart follows a young woman as she goes through high school. You decide on which classes she takes, interests she pursues, and jobs she does. You also determine how she dresses on dates and at special events. As she goes about her high school life, she gets to know various love interests over the three years. She can then end up in a relationship with one of them. This installment is notable for callbacks to past entries, with love interest Inori Himuro related to teacher Reiichi Himuro and the twin friends Hikaru and Michiru Hanatsubaki related to series fashion icon Goro Hanatsubaki.
Unlike past entries, it is the first to offer DLC love interests. People can pay ¥1,980 for these extra romance options. These include Isao Onari and Tomoe Yukimichi.
Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side 4th Heart is available on the Nintendo Switch in Japan.
