Nintendo announced new 4-star and 5-star Tera Raids for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Like it happened with the Tyranitar and Salamence raids, this time the Pokemon will be different depending on which version of the game you own, with Hydreigon being the chosen creature for Pokemon Scarlet, and Dragapult for Pokemon Violet. The Tera Raids will last from January 6-8, 2023. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
The new Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raids follow the same format as the previous 4-star and 5-star raids. Different from the 7-star Charizard and Cinderace raids, the Tera Type for Hydreigon and Dragapult will be random each time the player fights them. Hydreigon’s regular typing is Dark and Dragon, while Dragapult’s is Dragon and Ghost.

Hydreigon made its first appearance in Pokemon Black & White. It is described as a violent and destructive Pokemon, often associated with being evil incarnate. Many stories in the Pokemon world depict him as destroying entire villages.
Dragapult was introduced in Pokemon Sword & Shield. Their evolutionary line is described as being the ghost form of prehistoric aquatic Pokemon. Dragapults carry two small Dreepy inside their horns, which they shoot at great speeds to attack their opponents. Apparently, Dreepys greatly enjoy this activity.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch. Check out Siliconera’s official review of the games.
