They’ll also be able to unlock collaboration items for their profiles. The Initial D Arcade x Hatsune Miku Project DIVA crossover lasts until April 5, 2023 in Japan.
Check out a trailer for the event below.
The Initial D Arcade x Hatsune Miku Project DIVA event focuses on adding new music and special car livery for players to obtain. Songs selected from the Project DIVA soundtrack include pieces like “Luka Luka Night Fever”, “World End Dance Hall”, “Romeo and Cinderella”, “Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder”, and “Solitude’s End.”
The livery is based on the three main Vocaloids present in Hatsune Miku Project DIVA: Hatsune Miku herself, the Kagamine twins, Len and Rin, and Megurine Luka. The livery can be applied as a vinyl sticker to car models. For demo purposes, the trailer features Hatsune Miku livery on a Toyota Supra RS, Kagamine Twins livery on a Suzuki Swift, and Megurine Luka livery on a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. Other car customization items include neon underglow lighting that projects the Vocaloids’ logos, Vocaloid-themed speed and rev counter dials for the HUD, and standees of the characters. Players can also earn avatar customization items which allow their character to cosplay as the Vocaloids. A set of special “story” stages will pit players in a drift duel against two die-hard Vocaloid enthusiasts.
The Initial D Arcade x Hatsune Miku Project DIVA crossover event runs until April 5, 2023 in Japan.
