Square Enix previously released Dragon Quest information during Jump Festa. This has included a teaser trailer for Dragon Quest XI S. Alongside the release of the teaser trailer, Square Enix had also disclosed the voice actors that would appear in the Japanese version of the game. Similar information regarding upcoming Dragon Quest titles could be revealed at the upcoming event.

The next new installment in the game series, Dragon Quest: XII The Flames of Fate was announced in May 2021 through a special program. However, this was simply a title card reveal with scarce bits of information provided through the stream. The title will feature a revamped “command battle” system and a darker tone by comparison to older entries in the series.
