Masamichi Amano will lead Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in performing music from the Phantasy Star series. The concert will consist of three parts, and the first one will have the orchestra perform tracks from PSO2 and prior series titles. After a live session by other performers, the orchestra will return in the third part to play newer tracks from New Genesis.

Even though Sega mentioned a global PSO2 Sympathy 2023 live stream, the announcement also featured fine print stating that ticket sales may not be available in every country and territory. The Streaming+ user guide page includes a preview video that lets people check whether their internet connection is compatible with the Japanese streaming service. The website will accept payments via MasterCard and Visa credit cards, as well as China’s AliPay platform.

Phantasy Star Online 2 and New Genesis are available globally on PC and PlayStation 4. The online RPGs are also playable on Nintendo Switch with a cloud version in Japan, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X elsewhere worldwide.

The Phantasy Star series’ Sympathy 2023 concert will take place physically at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo, Japan, on January 21, 2023.
