More details about the Bayonetta 3 voice acting situation have come to light, with former Bayonetta voice actress Hellena Taylor sharing more details about PlatinumGames’ offer via Twitter. In the newest update, she noted the initial offer to return as the character was $10,000. Then, after that, the amount increased to $15,000. She then said she declined following that offer, which led to a flat $4,000 offer to “voice some lines.”
In her initial video message, Taylor claimed the developer offered her a flat $4,000 to play the character. That same announcement also included a call to boycott Bayonetta 3. A follow-up Bloomberg report from Jason Schreier claimed the offer to return as the voice actress for Bayonetta was $15,000, which now seems to be confirmed by Taylor.

So, I declined to voice the game. I then heard nothing from them for 11 months. They then offered me a flat fee to voice some lines for 4,000 dollars. Any other lies, such as 4,000 for 5 sessions are total fabrications.

I was paid a shockingly low total of £3000 total for the first game. A little more for the second. I wanted to voice her. I have drummed up interest in this game ever since I started on Twitter in 2011.

Bayonetta 3 will come to the Nintendo Switch on October 28, 2022, with Jennifer Hale as the voice actress for Bayonetta. Previously, Hale voiced characters in Mass Effect, Overwatch, and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
