The Nintendo Switch version of Digimon World -Next Order- International Edition (stylized as 0rder instead of Order) will come out on February 22, 2023 in Japan. The game first launched on PS Vita in 2016, then launched for PS4 globally in 2017. In Japan the PS4 version was called the International Edition. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]
Some new elements to the Switch version of Digimon World -Next Order- International Edition will include a new Beginner Mode, as well as the option to run. Bandai Namco didn’t confirm if the new additions will be retroactively added to the existing PS4 versions of the game. Bandai has also not made any official statements regarding a western release of the Switch edition.
Like other Digimon World games, it is an open-world RPG in which you command a Digimon partner. You can also fuse two Digimon together through ExE Evolution to make a stronger one. One of Next Order‘s innovations was the addition of a second companion, for a total of two Digimon in combat. Players would also feed, raise, and train their Digimon to increase their battle strength. The plot of the game focuses on your effort to save the Digital World from Machinedramons wreaking havoc. Over 200 Digimon from across the franchise are featured. So far, aside from Beginner Mode and running, the Switch port does not have any key differences from the previous versions.
Digimon World -Next Order- International Edition is available on the PS4 and it will come out on the Nintendo Switch on February 22, 2023 in Japan.
