Cyno in Genshin Impact is Ready to Pass Judgment

In Version 3.1, Cyno will join Genshin Impact as an Electro 5-star Polearm user. HoYoVerse has released some information, as well as a trailer, for the Judicator of Secrets. He is a supervisor for the researchers of Akademiya, and in gameplay, he will work as a main DPS. He will appear in the Phase I banners alongside new 4-star Candace and returning 5-star Venti.

Cyno’s Elemental Skill, Invoker’s Spear, deals up to four consecutive spear strikes. When you use it while he is in the Pactsworn Pathclearer state, he will instead deal AoE Electro DMG. It will also extend the duration of his Burst.

His Burst, Sacred Rite: Wolf’s Swiftness, works in a way similar to Razor’s. He enters the Pactsworn Pathclearer state and all of his attacks deal Electro DMG. He also becomes immune to Electro-Charged DMG and his interruption resistance will increase. During this state, Cyno occasionally enters the Endseer Stance and he can deal AoE Electro DMG with Duststalker Bolt. Though he can only use it during his Burst, it counts as Elemental Skill DMG.

Cyno’s Genshin Impact trailer is more about his lore and character. It shows the fear that Akademiya researchers have for him, as well as the clinical way he approaches his duties. You can watch his trailer here:

In English, Alejandro Saab provides his voice. Saab has also voiced Yuri from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Cheng Xiaoshi in Link Click. Cyno’s Japanese voice is Miyu Irino. Irino’s previous roles include Sora and Vanitas from Kingdom Hearts, as well as Ritsu in Mob Psycho 100.

Genshin Impact is readily available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Version 3.1 will launch on September 26, 2022.
