Capcom announced in June 2021 that Resident Evil Village DLC would eventually appear. A follow-up statement was made in January 2022, revealing that the company plans to release the add-on sometime in 2022. However, an exact date has yet to be confirmed. Capcom has also not specified what the contents of the DLC will involve. This means there are no details about potential narratives it will cover or in what characters will appear.

In December 2021, Resident Evil Village appeared on Capcom’s Platinum Titles list. Worldwide sales for the title reached 6.1 million units as of May 11, 2022.

Resident Evil Village is available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. It will arrive on Macs in late 2022.
