MWAM Appears as Monsters in Final Fantasy VII First Soldier

The rock band Man With A Mission (MWAM) will literally be on a mission, due to a crossover event between it and Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. The event will run until June 2, 2022. When you fight against them, and from the menu screen, you will be able to hear the song “The Soldiers From The Start.” This is a song that MWAM composed specifically for the game.

Square Enix first announced this event during its May 19, 2022 stream. According to the lore of the game, the ultimate life form MWAM will appear on the field in order to help with the training of Project 0. The five members of the band will appear as boss monsters in the game. You will be able to find them in special concert-like fields on the map. In these areas, “The Soldiers From The Start” will play.

Aside from being able to fight them, you can also obtain limited Man With A Mission items and emotes. When you log in for the first time during the event, you will be able to get an emote that lets your character perform the choreography for “Fly Again.” You can also obtain points that will garner you band merchandise-themed cosmetics for your character or weapons. You will even be able to get the band’s signature wolf heads.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is available for mobile devices. The Man With A Mission event will run until June 2, 2022.
